Ablaze is a disaster film in the tradition of Irwin Allen's
"Towering Inferno" about a city on fire and the everyday
people who become heroes in a time of tragedy. The
story follows the firemen, the hospital workers and
several of the towns citizens through the deadly blaze.

The two part theme for Ablaze acted as both underscore
for the moments of heroism and a unifying thread between
all of the peoples' individual stories. As each of several
people that the film follows lives' become connected, variations
of the theme become one as they struggle to survive.
